“Write a Card” Wednesday for Week of Caring focuses on seniors

The third day of United Way of Bemidji Area’s Week of Caring is focused on senior citizens.

For “Write a Card” Wednesday activities, adults are encouraged to have a discussion on how seniors may be isolated, perhaps now more than ever amid COVID-19 restrictions and risks.

Families are encouraged to talk about senior family members or close friends and neighbors, and to take the time to call, draw a picture, or visit in the yard with a senior family member, neighbor or friend.

For action, community members are encouraged to write a card to a Bemidji senior and drop it off or mail it to the United Way of Bemidji Area, where they will distribute them to isolated seniors.
