The Minnesota Department of Health reports 609 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 and five newly reported deaths, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 40,767 cases and 1,495 deaths.
Of those deaths, 1,166 were residents of long-term care or assisted living facilities. Of those cases, 3,965 were health care workers.
Today, 35,442 COVID-19 patients no longer need to be isolated. Hospitalizations over the course of the outbreak have totaled 4,329, and as of today, 227 COVID patients are hospitalized, and of those, 124 are in ICU.
MDH reported two new cases of COVID-19 in Beltrami County, bringing the MDH cumulative total to 43. Local public health officials have noted that there is a delay between when they first report the case to MDH to when it is reported on the MDH website.
Approximately 725,825 tests for COVID have been completed, with 19,204 completed yesterday.

At least 17 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last week here in Beltrami County, and as contact tracing continues, more cases will likely be identified.
MDH reported one new case in Itasca County, bringing their total to 69 with 12 deaths, one new case in Koochiching County, bringing their total to 17 and one death, and two new cases in Roseau County, bringing their total to 21.
Cass County has had 19 COVID cases and two deaths, Clearwater County has had 10 cases, Hubbard County has had eight, Lake of the Woods County has had zero COVID cases, and Mahnomen County has had 10 cases with one death.
