Possible clothing description update for missing Bemidji teen

Fifteen-year-old Neveah Kingbird may have been wearing a red sweatshirt the night she was last seen in October.

Previously, the Bemidji Police Department reported she was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, but new information indicates she may have been wearing a red sweatshirt with the logo of a bull in a headdress, in addition to blue skinny jeans, a white top, and black and red Nike slides.

The BPD requests all residents to check out buildings and other areas where someone may seek shelter.

Recently, the police department conducted several high-intensity searches with the help of Neveah’s family, the Christian Aid Minsitries’ Minnesota Search and Rescue, Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, the Leech Lake and Red Lake Tribal Police Departments, the Minnesota BCA, the Lakes Area Dive Team and Vigilant K9.

The searches covered 500 acres and included water and wetland areas and drone, K9 and ground searches.

These efforts have not yet found Neveah. Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Bemidji Police Department or contact Crimestoppers of Minnesota to submit a tip anonymously.
