BSU Honors Lectures this semester

The Bemidji State University Honors Program will host its three remaining Honors Council lectures this semester on campus and via Zoom.

Given by BSU professors, the lectures cover a wide range of topics and are open to students, faculty and staff and the public. Lectures are held at BSU, but select presentations are also available online via Zoom.

Upcoming lectures:

  • “The Quantum Double-Slit Experiment: The Most Beautiful Experiment in Physics” presented by Dr. Ryan Sayer, associate professor of physics; Hagg-Sauer 116 and Zoom; Oct. 18 at 6 p.m.
  • “Callous Cruelty and Blow Back: ICE Facilities, Riskscapes and Community Transmission of COVID-19” by Dr. Michael Lengefield, associate professor of sociology; Hagg-Sauer 150; Nov. 1 at 6 p.m.
  • “Perspective of American Indian/Alaska Native Mental Health Practitioners on Psychological Distress, Social, Support, and Wellness” by Dr. M. Standing Eagle Baez, assistant professor of counseling and clinical psychology; Hagg-Sauer 116 and Zoom; Nov. 14 at 6 p.m.
