A Cass Lake man pleaded guilty to homicide charges. According to a release from the Beltrami County Attorney’s Office, Montana Cutbank entered his guilty plea to second-degree intentional murder yesterday.
During the plea hearing, Cutbank said he was a backseat passenger in a car that stopped at a residence near Cass Lake late last November.
The victim emerged from a residence, and while they were standing outside the vehicle, Cutbank removed a short-barreled shotgun from beneath his clothing and fired a fatal shot to the man’s head.
Sentencing is scheduled for next month.
