Bemidji State University will host an opioid awareness and Narcan training event March 27 on campus.
According to a release, Andrea Herold, an educator from Rural AIDS Action Network and recovering addict, will teach attendees how to recognize and respond to signs of an overdose, including administering naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, to reverse overdoses.
The free event will be held at 5:30 pm in Bensen Hall 115 and is open to the public.
Narcan kits and training is also available for free locally at Face it Together Bemidji, thanks to a partnership between RAAN and the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
