Headwaters Music and Arts will celebrate “30 Years of Music and Heart” with a community celebration on Friday, Aug. 26.
Former and current volunteers, employees, supporters and community members are invited to stop by for cake, ice cream, lemonade and popcorn, as well as listen to reflections from Headwaters founder Ann Hayes.
In September of 1992, Headwaters School of Music & the Arts set up shop in Bemidji offering private music lessons with seven teachers for 72 students.
Headwaters serves 250 music program students through private lessons each year, and also many others in other program areas.
The Aug. 26 celebration from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. is free and open to the public. The event will be followed by a ticketed concert with Jeremy Messersmith at 7 p.m.
