Niimi’idiwaag series continues at the History Center March 19

The Bemidji Public Library and Beltrami County Historical Society are honored to present the exhibit and program series Niimi’idiwag (They Dance), an exploration of the history of the Anishinaabe powwow.

Join us as we welcome Logan Monroe and the Sugar Point Singers, as they present Powwow Music-The Drum Circle Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Beltrami History Center, 130 Minnesota Ave, Bemidji, at 6.00 p.m.  

Drum circles are a critical component of the powwow. Join the Sugar Point Singers to hear examples of powwow drumming and learn about the musicians, music, and instruments that are the focal point of the powwow and move both the dancer and the spirit.
