Minnesota Moms are invited to join a virtual free fishing challenge during “Take a Mom Fishing” this weekend. All Minnesota moms can fish without purchasing a fishing license. The challenge is in a Facebook group and all participants who submit photos of the caught fish will be entered into a random drawing. Take a Mom Fishing was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 1988 to coincide with Mother’s Day. This year, it also coincides with the fishing opener.
