The Bemidji Senior Center will once again provide free tax preparation assistance this season.
According to a release, this service is for those over the age of 50 and those with low to moderate incomes.
Beginning Feb. 6, the tax aide office will be open on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a walk-in basis through April 14.
Tax filers will need to bring a photo ID, social security cards for all those on the return, amounts of deductible items such as charitable contributions, information about health insurance coverage and last years’ tax return if available.
Certificates of Rent Paid or Property Tax Statements are also required if applying for a renter’s or homestead credit refund.
