Greater Bemidji to offer free entrepreneur workshops

Greater Bemidji’s LaunchPad and the Northwest Small Business Development Center will offer two free workshops this summer for entrepreneurs interested in starting a business.

Through these partnerships, the “lean start up model” will be introduced.

This methodology is described as aiming to shorten product development cycles to rapidly discover if a proposed business model is viable.

The first workshop, “Startup Innovation,” is on Wednesday, July 14. The second “Customer Driven Innovation” workshop will be held Thursday, Aug. 19.

Both workshops will be offered virtually with an in-person option, at the LaunchPad in Bemidji and in Red Lake at Adaawe-wigamig Business Center.

Virtual sessions are at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., while the in-person option includes lunch and an opportunity to connect, extending the workshop from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In-person attendants must bring a laptop and headphones.

We are excited to bring back programming post-pandemic and engage the entrepreneur community once again,” said Tiffany Fettig, Business Finance Manager at Greater Bemidji, Inc.

“This training will appeal to those with an idea, an entrepreneur who has recently launched a business, or an existing business owner looking to pivot their company’s direction or expand to new markets.”

To register, go to the NoW Innovators Network website Programs and Events | NoW Innovators (nownetworkmn.com) or directly to https://bit.ly/3wezyXj .

The registration deadline for the first workshop is July 9.
