Law enforcement-only search today for 21-year-old

UPDATE: On Wednesday, July 20, searchers found the body of 21-year-old Logan Roy.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office says a law enforcement-only ground search for Logan Roy is today.

Twenty-one-year-old Logan Roy was reported missing Sunday after going for a walk and sending concerning text messages to family members.

Law enforcement has reported he may possibly be armed and he should not be approached.

The search today will include several agencies and other divisions within the Sheriff’s Office, as well as a highly-trained Rapid Response Search and Rescue team through Christian Aid Ministries.

Civilian volunteers are asked not to conflict with this operation, as coordinated zones and areas will be searched for any signs of Logan.

He was last seen wearing gray camouflage pants, a long-sleeve black shirt and brown boots. Logan is about 5’10” and 275 pounds with recently bleached hair. He was last seen by family members walking north on Highway 89 near mile marker 16.
