Becker County authorities are investigating a stabbing in Pine Point.
Officials say this incident is unrelated to Sunday’s homicide in the same village.
According to a release, deputies responded around 2:30 Thursday morning on a report of a male with a stab wound to his chest.
Thirty-four-year-old James Kettle of Ponsford was transported to Essentia St. Mary’s for his injuries.
Twenty-five-year-old Marcus Waybenais of Walker was arrested on suspicion of assault several hours later in the same area.
The White Earth Police Department, North Memorial Ambulance and Carsonville Fire & Rescue assisted the Becker County Sheriff’s Office with this case.
