Bemidji’s Take Back the Night event will take place Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at BSU’s Lakeside fire pit by Hobson Memorial Union.
The event is hosted by Support Within Reach and aims to raise awareness of sexual violence as well as promote healing.
Bemidji State University, Bemidji’s United Way, Community Resource Connections and the Red Lake Nation are named collaborators of the event.
Giiwitaa will provide a drum circle, with a microphone for those who would like to share their stories.
Sexual violence survivors are also invited to burn an item or a note at the bonfire.
