Two open houses on road projects are scheduled for today. MnDOT will hold their open house for their planned reconstruction of Highway 71 this year from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Beltrami Electric community room.
MnDOT is planning to construct a new roundabout at the Highway 71 and Anne Street intersection, and seven other intersections will be reconfigured to be reduced conflict intersections.
From 5 to 7 p.m. at the Beltrami County Administration Building, the county’s highway department is hoping to gather some feedback on some plans they have for reconstructing Irvine Avenue next year.
Highway engineer Bruce Hasbargen has included some possible intersection changes for Irvine and Anne, with various sizes of roundabouts proposed as well as keeping the intersection signaled.
