A Staples man was seriously injured in a crash on Highway 64 yesterday afternoon. According to the state patrol, 82-year-old Russell Nanik of Staples was eastbound on 60th Avenue in a Cadillac Escalade. The Minnesota Department of Health reported 611 newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 and eight newly reported deaths, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 44,347 cases and 1,526 deaths.
